Train Game

It's been a while but I blame Hurricane Sandy. Why not? I've moved and been busy with holidays and work. It's been a mess and I can't even remember November. I just finished a short comic for a game that should be out next year called Metro: Last Night. It's a downloadable comic that bridges the stories of the two games. My little brother seems super excited about it so I guess the games are pretty good. I can't play video games or I'd never get anything done. Anyway, I'll be posting mor regularly in the new year once the madness has passed. In the meantime here's a panel mash-up of the Metro short.

NYCC 2012

New York is having another Comic Con at the Javits Center! I'll be at the show this weekend with Mark Sable selling things and sketching around. We'll be at table N5 in ARTIST ALLEY. We'll have all of GRAVEYARD OF EMPIRES for sale.

 along with my sketchbook PEEPSHOW

 a GRAVEYARD OF EMPIRES print.

I'll also have some original art for sale (mostly Spidey stuff and some BPRD). I can't speak for Mark (he can be moody) but I'll sign whatever you bring over so come on by. Lastly, I'll be taking some commissions for anyone who wants an original just made for them sketch. Hope to see you here and hope I survive the weekend.

Long time no see....

I've been neglecting my blog lately (has it really been three months?) but hopefully I won't wait this long between posts in the future. I'm gearing up for New York Comic Con and I'm looking forward to the craziness that is my hometown con (New Jersey/New York same thing). For the first time, I've actually found some time and extra drawings to put together a sketchbook.
Not long ago I started making a little time for life drawing. I still haven't done it enough but I'm on my way to not having all my art be work related. I think it's important to draw for yourself as much as for whatever project or job you have. So this will be a collection of some of the better drawings that came out of those sessions (I've previously posted a few on here). I also added some comic/media related sketches I've done recently so it's not all random naked people. Hopefully, people will dig seeing this stuff because I plan to do more in the future.

Also, I've been busy doing a couple X-Men issues lately with Seth Peck (@sethmpeck). It's a fun action-packed story that stars Daredevil and Domino. Issues 38 and 39. Here's a couple of snippets of DD from there.
Lastly, I'll do a proper NYCC blog post but in the meantime here's a peak at the print I'll have at my table in artist alley. More soon.

Happy 4th!!

Seems lately I've been doing a few covers and single images. Being able to color them myself and hand in a finished product really changes my approach. It's just easier to do them in parts. I've always liked collage covers and having grown up with Drew Struzan is probably why. Here's a couple of pieces I've done for different covers. I swear that face is not me (or wasn't supposed to be).

HEROES CON!!

I'm gearing up for Charlotte this weekend where I get to be bombarded with tall tales and southern barbeque. Heroes Con has become my favorite convention to do every year and for good reason. I'll be there at table 305 in Artist Alley. As always I'll be doing sketches and perhaps selling some Spider-man originals. Also, I'll be contributing to the auction so look out for my piece and help a worthy cause.

Lastly, I'll be running in the HEROESCON FUN RUN which will take place early on Saturday morning. Click the link for details. Eric Canete is doing his part (details here). So if you see me running say hi. I will in turn not let you beat me to the finish. Whatever it takes.
